I need to expand this heavily, but the TL;DR is:

  1. Show websites – The first and best place to find out about lottery and rush tickets, if you have a show you’re interested in.
  2. TodayTix Lottery and Rush tab – Many shows partner with TodayTix to provide lottery or rush tickets. This a good way to find cheap tickets for shows you might not have heard of before. These are generally only available through the app.
  3. TodayTix flash sales – These can be hit or miss, but when they’re good, they’re good. I’ve found tickets for £15 through a TodayTix flash sale that were otherwise £25 and only available through rush. As always, check that these are actually good deals by comparing “sale” seat prices with the going rate from the show website.
  4. Yearly sales – These include Official London Theatre’s New Year’s Sale, as well as London Theatre Week. See if either of these is going on when you’re buying and you might be able to snag ticket to a show which normally doesn’t have a discount!
  5. The TKTS booth/website – if you miss rush tickets for a show, this is your last chance to get cheap same-day tickets. What’s available changes every day, so don’t get too picky.
